No WCAX here on the island either. I wasn't even aware there was a frequency change, but came back from vacation this week and WCAX didn't work. I presumed it was due to the big storm a few weeks ago. The rest of my channels were okay, so I figured it was transmitter related. I just rescanned and got nothing. I'm interested in others' reports. |

Any one having problems receiving WCAX after the move to RF 20 on Oct 24th? I live in the Duvernay Laval area and no longer receive WCAX after the move. |

Samsquanch | Signal's been a bit lower than usual (3 bars out of 10 on Samsung signal meter instead of the usual 5-6) but still solid for me. |

Outside OTA antenna placement Hi, I need to replace my antenna (CM-4228HD with a CM-7778 amplifier) and my best place seems to be on my house side. Would this be a problem, because my house siding is aluminium ? Also, what would be the minimal distance from the wall ? Antenna's height would be 15ft. Thank you very much Edit by 57, TVFool from another posts: TV Fool |

Need some advice about antenna selection Live in Ste-Dorothee. Bought 5 years ago a Digiwave ANT7288. It has 8-bay, 2 balun + 2 to 1 combiner) and installed it in my attic. I am happy with it as I can get US channels 3, 5, 33, 44 and 57. But every now and then reception from either 3 or 5 is poor. For example, tonight my Samsung TV shows 12dB for ch5 (no image) while 3 shows 20db (image). I was thinking of adding a preamplifier but test done last weekend by plugging an HD homerun directly on the output of the antenna did not show better signal than when connected near the TV. So loss of signal between antenna an TV does not seem to be an issue. From the threads, I gather that Digiwave is not a great product and I was now thinking of getting a CM4228HD. Would the performance of the CM be much better than Digiwave? |

US channels from Laval (Ste-Rose) Hello everybody, I just finished to install my CM4228 with a CM7778. What i'm trying to get are US channels. Without preamp i'm getting only 57.1, 57.2, 57.3 (PBS). With preamp i'm getting 33.1, 33.2, 33.3(PBS) and 44.1, 44.2, 44.3 (Fox), beside 57 already mentioned. Well, what i dont understand is why i get Fox and not CBS or NBC (all of them transmitting from the same location). Actually conform my tvfool, i'm supposed to have a better reception for CBS and NBC than for Fox. My tvfool: TV Fool Thank you |

How long do you want it, and what will it support? I use EMT conduit from Home Depot - two or three 10-foot lengths telescoped and bolted together. Alternatively (ligher), fencing top rail from same place. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Tapatalk |

Antenna mast ? Hi all, Do you have any ideas where i can find an antenna mast in Montreal area ? Or anything else that could replace a mast (i cannot install my antenna on the roof). The only one i found was at La Source ($120 for a 25 feet), so i'm trying to find something cheaper. Thank you |

Antenna setup advice Hi everybody, My location is in Laval, north of Montreal, and I'm trying to get american channels (CBS, NBC, FOX and maybe even ABC if it's possible). After reading the forums about other users experiences and possible setups, I think that a good setup for me would be a CM-4228HD with a CM-7777/CM-7778 pre-amplifier. Here is my TV Fool: http://http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapper&Itemid=29&q=id%3d60ede92fdafd81 Also, I want to mention that I'll need to split the signal between 2 tv's. What do you think, do you recommend another antenna with a longer range (for US channels) and also what about the pre-amp (would the CM-7777 be too much, would I be safer with the CM-7778)? Thank you! |
