gdkitty Its interesting as to why they did this, with the Simpsons only?

I have watched a few of the older disney themselves older stuff which was aired in 4:3 and they are showing 4:3 when playing

Dr.Dave The first 19 seasons of The Simpsons aired in 4:3 aspect ratio, however Disney Plus is cropping the top and bottom of those early episodes and presenting them in 16:9 aspect ratio common with HDTV.. Disney announced on Friday that they will allows subscribers to choose the original aspect ratio if they wish starting in early 2020. (LA Times)

Hulu

To bad that Disney+ doesn’t offer HULU with their services at all. I would of loved if they could bring Hulu streaming services. What about you?

EG: Gargoyles. There was an original airing of S1e8, where one of them ends up playing with a gun and shooting the officer. Beyond the original airing, this episode was always omitted from any other releases, re-runs, etc. But its there on D+
In the case of the Michael Jackson episode of The Simpsons, the creators of the show made the decision in March to pull the episode from all future circulation after the HBO documentary Leaving Neverland aired. (More info)

Here is a Deadline article that discusses some other sensitive material that is either preceded by a warning or not released at all.

hercules130 I watched Star Wars Episode IV and Cars 3 and the burn-in text in both movies is in French. Strange. Does not happen to other movies (e.g. Star Wars Episode VII). Is it just me or does anyone else experience it?

gdkitty Just noticed something odd with it. Not sure if its the same on the APPs, I am using the web player.

Finishing up a season of something, last episode.
Normally when one episode is done, it does the auto start thing for the next one in X seconds.
When season one finishes, you would think it should prompt for the next season start ep 1? Even if not the auto start a prompt for it?
Its just showing me a recommendation for another series...

ExDilbert I've seen instances where a Canadian channel had the rights to a movie and only aired it once or twice a year. If that is the case, I suspect Disney will reclaim the Canadian rights when the current agreement expires.

I just check again this morning and I now see season 27, the top banner now says 30 seasons, instead of 29, I guess it was a minor server issue.

Also Bizaardvark's episode "The First Law of Dirk" (S1E07) is missing, probably because of the thing with Logan Paul, since he was a guest star for that episode.

Dr.Dave Disney Plus had 10 million sign-ups in about one day. Netflix has 60 million U.S. paid subs. (Deadline) Hulu has about 27 million paid subs.

Disney Plus has a useful help site.
https://help.disneyplus.com/

They confirmed that only Apple TV 4 and later are supported. Also Samsung TVs from 2016 or later.
