bigoranget I actually understand now why WPCH is being dropped. When Time Warner was sold to AT&T, WPCH was actually sold off to Meredith Corporation and has been under their ownership since April 2018. My guess is companies in Canada are choosing to drop this channel as it is no longer tied to carriage of other Warner Media channels such as CNN, HLN and TCM.

Interesting that since Meredith took over they have contracted the local CBS station to produce a 9:00am and 9:00pm newcast for the station. These are actually not seen in Canada but instead replaced with paid programming (for the 9am hour) and ER reruns for the 9pm hour. CBS46 has been the defacto operator of the station as far back as 2011 under a local marketing agreement.

I'll have the team take a look at SPM, I know there were some difficulties at the beginning, and the feed was upgraded because SPM was changing some of their equipment out so it's possible there are some challenges right now.
I think something is still wrong with SPM1 HD

Bayguy KTLA is good to have when something happen's in LA, which is, like, a lot.

bigoranget Honestly pretty much all the US Superstations are pretty useless now. Peachtree hasn't shown any Braves games in 10+ years and I don't think they even play any SEC football games since the SEC Network launched about 5 years ago. I don't think WPIX, WSBK or KTLA show any sports these days. I believe WGN just recently lost the rights to White Sox and Cubs games. I get that KTLA and WPIX are CW stations but most of the good programs are carried in Canada on other channels and much of the daytime TV line-up is shows that you can already get on other stations. I wouldn't be surprised if all of them disappear at some point.

frenchophile If it will no longer distributed by SBS, then I think it's safe to assume that it will no longer be offered on SD

RuralRouter We DVR Peach Tree every day from Shaw Direct.

bigoranget It doesn't necessarily mean gone from Shaw Direct. It may just be WPCH won't be available to pickup via Shaw Broadcast.

LONSat Looks like we may be loosing Peachtree. Shaw Broadcast has announced they will no longer carry it as of April 30th

Maybe it's just a negotiating tactic?

k801809 Yeah, I know. You can't win them all! I have a few channel moves to do all at once in the coming months (the late additions of the West feeds messed up my line-up!).

tvmaster So much for that grouping of Juicebox with the kids channels arguments. Ugh. Sorry, me and country.... nope. But CW is on the rise for sure...

k801809 We've escalated that to Stingray... they're required to update Gracenote with their data.

NovaMan Shaw Direct changed Juicebox to Stingray Country yesterday (channel 375) but the guide still describes the videos as:"All Day Recess" and describes the Juicebox program. Just an observation, not a complaint.

bigoranget DVB is just how the signal is modulated. It's possible that it might just be a 480p signal that is being upcoverted to 720p or 1080i. Back in the analog days there was a noticable difference between a native signal and the one being broadcast to Canadian satellites. That's due to the differences between NTSC broadcast (North America) and SECAM which was used by France and its territories.
