I had a similar issue to when I wanted to make a partial payment on my account. The website wouldn't let me do it, and then when I called in to do it, I was transferred to a rep.
Still confused, but was able to make the payment.

Not surprised. I was laid off as a Rogers call center rep a month ago, also due to downsizing. And since Rogers and Shaw are very similar...well, there you go.
Trying to cut back on expenses it seems.

Call Centre Reduced Hours?
I was doing an automated payment over the telephone and it didn't go through so it said I could be transferred to an agent but then when it rang through, there was an automated message saying they were closed. I don't remember the hours but it was something like 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
This used to be a 24/7 operation regardless of what your call was about.
