starchoice The package is available but you have to call.

tvmaster thanks, I saw this, but it appears it's in the French package as opposed to an English package. Four English channels....

starchoice After doing some further digging on their website and while this might not mean anything, the Superstations show up in the French bundles of RDS and TVA Sports. A package by the name of Actif includes only WSBK TV 38. The channels also show up as standalones at the astronomical price of $5.00 each.

When I spoke with Shaw Direct not that long ago changing my package to reduce my price as I was on one of the legacy packages, I made the point that I did not want to lose my Superstations package at a "grandfathered" price. They assured me that I would not lose the package as the package itself was still available. I don't know why but in their history, for some reason, they have never readily advertised the availability of this bundle at a reduced price.

starchoice I know that, in the past, the Superstations package was always included with their premium movie package. However, I do not follow Shaw Direct closely any more and have not really kept abreast with the changes. I have pretty much always had the Superstations four pack as a standalone.

I believe that Timeshift is included in Medium and Large. It's not listed under Small because it is not included, although you can add it if you want.

tvmaster Under that link I posted, in the Medium & Large descriptions, it says:

“ Includes - Watch TV anywhere, on any device with BlueCurve TV App∇
Your choice of Hollywood Suite or World & Adventure
Access channels from multiple timezones with Timeshift”

Since you can add Timeshift to Small as well, it’s odd they’d write that ONLY under the other two....

As far as the Superstations go, I can’t find reference to them anywhere on the site, but I’m paying for, and receiving them currently. What ‘pack’ were you referencing which you think they’re included in?
What a mess...

Never heard of "timeshift" being "included" (not for a long time now) but there does still seem to be an ongoing promo to get it for $0.99/month for six months.

There are four U.S. Superstations included in the pack but not sure if they are included with the Crave/HBO bundle. Nothing seems to be clear anymore.

tvmaster Thanks, eventually I will, but I find people here actually know more than many CSRs , especially with regards to how and when to ask for discounts, bundles, loyalty benefits, etc. Very rarely do Chat or phone CSRs offer discounts without probing...

Bluefan75 tvmaster, I can't help you with your questions per se, but use the online chat. It is very much worth it.

I don't know if you’re still around, k801809, but can you clear up a thing or two if you still are (or anyone else who may know pricing):

At the current link, MEDIUM lists ‘Timeshift’ as INCLUDED. But when you drill down when picking channels / and or extra packs, ‘Timeshift’ still shows up as not included, and $8. Also, is the ‘Music’ Pack really $8, or is it $2.99 as some have noted here in other threads.

I assume if U.S. Nets are either purchased as a ‘pack’, or included in the BASE channels, then adding ‘Canadian Time Shift’ for $8 includes the U.S. Timeshift NETS as well, correct, as there isn’t a selection for U.S. Net Timeshift anywhere.

And are the five, U.S. Superstations still included for FREE with the Crave+HBO Pack?

The web site is still kinda lacking in BOTH explaining all the options, completely omitting some others, and not pricing properly when arranging bundles. Sitting on hold for two hours is why the ‘Do-it-yourself’ web site option would be far better, if the info was right

frenchhomer Well not sure if this belongs here but, fed up with the prices climbing up since a bit. I have the extra small tv with pick five. Plus have four boxes on my account, two dsr 600 and two 309 which stopped working few months back, so time to call and get it sorted, first call was picked up in no time at all, foreign accent and told them I wanted to get the 309's replaced, she said it was 149.95 per unit, nope I want to talk to your manager, on hold for one hour and 45 minutes, another lady came on and said since you are loyal we will sell you the two units for 49.95 each (thought quite a drop) so said I bought the equipment from you why should I have to pay them to be replaced. She said thats the best they could do, not good enough so I told her I want to leave Shaw, tell me what I owe on bill I will pay it and move to bell. She put me on hold, 10 minutes later a different lady came on and said we will replace the two 309's for 15 dollars to cover shipping, this lady was great so asked her about time shift, she said I can give you that for 88 cents a month for four months then it would be eight dollars a month after that. Moral of the story is don't take the first person scripts, ask for higher up and wait, all in all it was about three hours on phone with them but paid off for me.

Thanks bpsmicro re: Credit Cards

Many Many Thanks bpsmicro!! I previously went to the website and I guess I got into setting up a credit card since it asked for all sorts of information. My wife later did the same thing. I was pretty frustrated at that point after all of the telephone hold time etc. No problem with the CC switch over within SD since I have plenty of time until the next billing due date.

This time I got into the right webpage. Easy. I wasted hours on this when just a few minutes online did it. Again BIG THANKS

k801809 It is true that there needs to be 10 days to update information - the request for withdrawal is sent to the bank 10 days prior, so any changes made under that won't be reflected. Your balance will just roll over to the following month and withdraw at once (unless you make a onetime manual payment through the website in the meantime).
