Why didn't our rcvr change time at the right time?

We are in Calif. but our Shaw rcvr thinks its in Ontario. After 11 p.m. on Saturday it was after 2 am in Ontario but the rcvr was still on Daylight Time. We went to bed and when we got up it was okay but why didn't it change at 2:00?? Does Shaw change every body at 2:00 in Calgary even people who live in other time zones?
