|17671||Yes, I used to work with electronic boards in my past so myself as well as lots of people on here are well aware of the damages of getting liquid into your phone. The sooner you try to revive it the better the chances are. my mom dropped her nokia lumina in a cup of coffee, but she was busy at work and didn't notice it until hours past and by then it was too late, I had opened the phone for her but I already saw rust on the circuit board, once you get rust, it might be too late, the board may have already shorted out.|

Smartphone water revival.
Just would like to share my latest experience with a water damaged smartphone.I had a nexus 4 that I dropped in water for about 3 minutes.I put it in Rice for several days but when I came to turn it on it would only show the Google logo on and off.I tried resets by holding the volume and power buttons but nothing worked. So I saw on the net that some guys would remove the Battery and soak it in 99% alcohol for several minutes.I had nothing to lose and tried it.Well IT WORKED!Phone is up and running great. The only thing is that screen background is somewhat scared, not sure if its from the water or Alcohol but nevertheless its fonctional.
