gdewar Any idea why Shaw Direct cannot provide an HD feed of the Edmonton Oil Kings playoffs except in stunning SD on CH299, while Shaw Cable is giving it to their subscribers in HD?
I have spoken to SD customer service and they say it has something to do with the lack of bandwidth, yet the lovely Christmas fireplace seems to be an HD broadcast.

QCK Yea, the Score HD should be a no brainer for Star Choice to add. The SD versions of the Raptors, NCAA games & Westling are just brutal to watch with a large HD TV. It would be a nice Xmas present *C...

nicohockey9 The Score HD is almost essential to have now for b-ball fans because they play raptors games and some other games, also all they're in house productions are in HD now, and wrestling on monday and friday, also wedsnsdays and thursdays alot of time they play soe NCAA stuff. So the score in HD is a nice channel in HD, and im shcoked they have not added it yet.

greerb It;s pretty much official for me, now that Bell has added TLC HD and Star choice has yet to add The Score HD, I'm going to be switching when I get my Income Tax cheque in my hand. That is if Star doesn't add The Score HD by then. StarChoice's lack of adding quatliy HD channels is starting to pss me off.

Yob On the bottom left of the site:

Leaf's TV HD games available on HD Sports 1 (ch. 266).

GaryE *C will only broadcast live Leafs games on channel 266 or 267 from Leafs TV. They DO NOT carry the entire Leafs TV channel in HD. You must have a subcription to Leafs TV SD though to get the games on 266 or 267.

No where on the brochure do I see it mention LeafsTV in HD.

Can someone please confirm that if you subscribe to only LeafsTV & not Centre Ice you will be able to see it in HD on 266 or 267?

fmr "Channel 283 - MCHD has the same programming as channel 297 -HBOHDW."

MCHD guide used to be screwed up. Did not match actual programming on the first 2 days of HBO Canada addition.

Have you ever been able to watch Chris Rock on MC ? Or Bill Maher ? Or that naked chick that was just before CR repeat on saturday night ? So, if you don't like comedy or "p*rn", then there may be nothing new on HBO Canada. ;-)
Sure, if you expected things to change overnight, you're in for a lot of disappointment.

I believe the main reason for introducing HBO Canada, is to be able to fight againt the national license awarded to Super Channel last year. MC/TMN has to be able to compete to get contracts renewals. It is easier to negociate with one company (Super Channel) than to negociate with one for each half of Canada. I'm sure TMN/MC would have lost contracts if they did not offer this to studios.

"Tp20 will have 4 channels (one being the Frame)"

Looks like I was wrong about the tp#: The Frame is on tp11 (according to lyngsat), with TMN HD, M MORE HD and CTV. So tp20 has only 3 channels, 1 being an NHL CI.
I meant 11, it and 7 both has 4 HD's now.

TJ77 HBO is not using any additional space.
HBO-E (which is virtually mapped to 2 channels) replaced MMore, same goes for HBO-W, which replaced MC4.
HBO-HDE replaced MMoreHD, and HDW replaced MCHD2. They only difference is that these channels are available nationally, instead of east/west only.

Note that all HBO programming will be seen exclusively on HBO Canada, once the current seasons or True Blood, Entourage, and so on end.
