cableredneck | I would think that not using the receiver for a week should be a problem, but if it is you can, as mentioned, call Shaw Direct or use the online refresh tool. |

capersx2 | Yes, but you can refresh/re-hit your receivers through your online account. No need to call and the process is 99.9% idiot proof. |

ExDilbert | They may lose activation or have some channels unsubscribed if disconnected from power for a week or more. I've seen Shaw Direct receivers become unstable if they lose signal. That's one possibility. |

new shaw direct receiver issues i recently installed two shaw direct receivers, one pvr and one hd. If the receivers are not used for a week or so they will not wake up unless we power cycle them. Any ideas? Thank you, |
