Confused on which media extender to choose

Hello,

I am looking for something small form, maybe in a nice case. It needs to have a nice interface like xbmc or boxee or even apple tv. It needs to be able to run vpn software separately, like hotspot shield. I need to be able to access my NAS shares and it needs to play 1080p, especially dvd and blu-ray isos with menus. The other big aspect I really need is something that has a html browser that can play flv streams from various sites.

I know there is a new apple tv coming out soon, but not sure if the apple tv 2 with xbmc even played flv streams. Also hotspot shield has worked great for me over the past two months as I have ad blocking software plus it running to access american netflix and hulu, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions on which path I should take? I did price a small form htpc build at $160, but that is without remote or hdmi cables.

Thanks
