Zank Frappa I think the real reason it's been so long between seasons is Claire Danes needed time to recharge her tear ducts.

Bayguy Oh good, we have been on and off the show but will watch the last season. We have had to wait for Showtime free previews to see other eps after the whole season is done. Now that it is on Crave we can see it right away.

Crave Becomes the Exclusive Canadian Home of HOMELAND for its Final Season

Dr.Dave Homeland's final eighth season is set to premiere February 9, two years after Season 7, which debuted on February 11 2018. It seems that the complex filming schedule did not allow for a summer 2019 run, so Showtime opted to go in February as the network’s fall schedule already was packed. (Deadline)

It's not clear whether Super Channel or Crave will have first-run rights in Canada, since Super Channel no longer has the program on its series list.

Dr.Dave @Leafs13 - 2 episodes air every Monday on the Crave1 TV channel and are available for streaming at the same time. See "Worth Watching" in this thread:

Leafs13 Only the first two episodes of season 7 are available. Not sure what's going on there.

Dr.Dave I remember seeing the announcement for season 7. I just double-checked Crave and they have seasons 5,6,7 available.

Dr.Dave Crave Last Chance Programming: HOMELAND Seasons 1-5 (May 31)

It looks like season 6 was shown on TMN, but was never added to Crave. I checked Super Channel and the series has been pulled from their site - season 7 was supposed to be available On Demand until August 10 2019.

I checked JustWatch.com and Netflix Canada is streaming seasons 1-6.

Bayguy Oh yes I see it on May 7 on TMN. Thank you Dr Dave. We used to watch it but then we couldn't see it anymore.

Dr.Dave Season 6 is also on TMN1.

Season 7 will remain available on Super Channel On Demand until Aug. 10, 2019, so TMN will probably get the rights after that.

The series has already been renewed for season 8.

Leafs13 Season 6 is on TMNGO starting May 7th

Dr.Dave According to Homeland | Super Channel, Season 6 will remain available on demand until April 14, 2018, which is basically one year after the season ended. TMN should be able to start airing the season shortly after that, however I don't see the series on their show list, not even on demand. They could air it on TMN, Bravo or even go straight to CraveTV (where the first 5 seasons are available.)

Season 7 will begin on Super Channel on Feb. 11 @ 9:00 PM on SC1, same date as Showtime.

Leafs13 When will season 6 of Homeland air on TMN?
2017-01-12 01:59 PM
Dr.Dave I recall that Super Channel retained several FX series when FX Canada launched. Since the contract details aren't made public, we can only guess based on observed behavior.

In a lot of cases on broadcast networks, the Canadian network relinquished their rights due to scheduling conflicts and the series has been picked up by another network.
