Brent McKee | Space HD exists. Just because your provider doesn't have it (nor does mine) doesn't mean it doesn't exist. They'd say - rightly - that its the job of the service providers to make a deal to get the channel. |

I've had it with the reality #@&% ... Well I did it ... I cancelled all channels that regularly air reality shows. Thankfully, with Videotron we have à la carte selection as an option. The only ones I couldn't get rid of are those imposed on us by the CRTC ... doesn't matter I'll just continue ignoring these channels. Let them advertize to someone else. As another person mentioned, leave your TV on a station long enough and you're eventually going to be served with Pawn Stars, Ice Road Truckers, American Pickers, Canadian Pickers, etc. Why pay for these so-called specialty channels when you can get the same programming on almost every channels? You also have to suffer through ads on top of that ... nice double dipping racket. I refuse to pay for this junk ... I've had enough of it and I'm voting with my wallet. I guess I must sound like Howard Beale in the film Network (1976) ... "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore". ![]() Strangely, that film predicted with amazing accuracy what would happen to television. |

I personally have no qualms with History. Some would argue M*A*S*H* never should have been added to the line-up because it is not 100% historically accurate, but I think it's good. History does not have to be dry. As long as it is understood some shows are based on history, I see no harm in trying to be entertaining. Which brings me to A&E. It can be argued their shows are not very entertaining, but opinions vary. Personally, I like Dog the Bounty Hunter. As far as arts go, I haven't seen much of anything artful on there these days. It would be nice of course if stations would stick more closely to what they were intended to be, and while I think some leeway is permissible, some stations have gone too far. I don't think History has crossed the line yet. |

Blackloz | I will say this much. Atleast History is still better then TLC. The last thing I need to see is toddlers in contests, cakes being made, or anything about wedding dresses ect, ect, |

Just started to watch Pawn Stars and American Restoration (or whatever it's called). I'm addicted. Big fan of old nostalgia stuff. Love how these old items are restored to their natural glory. I don't really care what shows are on what channel as long as I get to see what I like. |

The Watcher | At one time; History and A&E were one of the best channels on tv. Now with all of these reality shows, and do it yourself shows. These channels and others have gone way down hill. |
