Dave Bonang My 6 month promo expires next month and I think I will probably cancel the service. My wife and I enjoy it but we are retired and on a fixed income and can’t really afford to pay full price. We only listen to a couple stations and probably not worth the money. If they offered me a decent 12 month promo I’d probably consider it if it was reasonable. I wonder if SiriusXM offers a senior discount ?

Another thing....I have a lifetime US subscription on an old portable radio in my old truck that it rarely use but the service is still active. I wonder if I could transfer that over to my car after the promo ends and I cancel next month ?
Just wondering.

dm_4u I called in on June 14, first guy wouldn't budge off $333.

After 5 minutes flipped to second guy.

He offered a one year package: SiriusXM All Access (includes all channels and online access) for $151 all in so I took it. (seemed fair to me)

Called in, after 45 minutes on hold was offered $6 a month for six months. Told them no and they offered the same for a year and I took it.

Exid0r Expiring package: SiriusXM Select 6 Months promo at $36 + $5.11 "Music Royalty & Regulatory Fees" + HST = $46.45.

Called in to cancel today, but decided to accept a 1-year offer, (no 6-month plans were offered to me):

SiriusXM Select 1 Year = $87.56
Music Royalty & Regulatory Fee (14.2%) = $12.43
Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) = $12.94
Total = $112.93

It is of course more costly than I would have liked, but it will do for now I suppose.

Regular "1 year" price, as posted on SiriusXM website, is $241.18 (after adding fees & taxes), which is beyond ridiculous.

dufferdan I previously had 6 months all access + online for $54 +tax and fee. It was up on feb 28.

Yesterday, I called, and they would do the same, or alternatively, they would give me 1 year at 118.00 + taxes and fee, so my bill for 1 year was $140 + change all in. I have to phone back next Feb 24, 2020, cost me marginally more than double, but the small excess was worth putting off the call for a year. Includes all channels and online access, + Howard Stern, etc.

upnorthkiwi Got my bill $287 have phoned the past few years but tired so have cancelled
Phoned to see what the bottom line was for price Finished up with low price of $100 but told them I have to phone every year so screw you and cancelled. If enough did this perhaps the wild pot a reasonable price

Lee Anne I'm really glad we got the lifetime while we could, the only annoyance is that I have to call them each year to get the online for free :\ they tell me it's included but the computers are not set up to recognize it .. whatever lol

Gentleman The only deal I've seen is the "returning customer" one with SiriusXM south of the border.

$5 a month for 6 months.

I have a dormant account stateside but if the currency exchange wasn't so dear, I'd go with that one.

Right now, it's not attractive to get a subscription when my free trial ends.

Stefer What kind of retention deals are people getting right now? My deal ends in like 2 weeks and there's no way that I'll keep it if I have to pay full price.

Gentleman
No more promotions?

I don't know what's changed at SiriusXM but they no longer send out promotional offers to new vehicle owners.

We decided to lease our vehicles going forward, back in 2016, and my wife received offers from Sirius in the mail for a package, but we've since leased 2 more vehicles and there are no more offers received via Canada Post or E-mail.

Has anyone received a promotional offer from Sirius before the free period expires on a new vehicle?

ExDilbert Don't know what they are charging now but it was an extra $10/mo for a second radio. That seems like a deal if paying full price but it's often cheaper to create a second account when discounts are available.

Dave Johnson Surprised nobody talking about this. Sirius for 1 yr/$60. https://www.siriusxm.ca/siriusxm-fta...siriusxm.ca%2F

Stefer Do they ever offer bundles for 2 radios on same account? Reason I'm asking is i just switched to a Pioneer deck with the siriusxm add-on connector and was hoping to sell my onyx plus, but then i thought of maybe hooking my dad up with it.

brettski Tired of "cancelling" every 6 months so decided to accept a one year offer this time:

-- Sirius XM Select (with free online) for $87.10 + 12.43 "Service Fee" + 4.93 GST = $104.51.

Not sure why, but ever since my first renewal of the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit, which I purchased in 2015 with 3 months Sirius left, I have received the Sirius XM Select US package (which differs from the Canadian package). Another strange thing is that when the new vehicle one free year expired in 2015, they mailed me a free additional year Sirius XM Select offer that they said was for the "Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit". I purchased a 2014 Dodge Durango the previous month to the Jeep in 2015 for my wife, but did not receive any additional free offer on her Durango when the initial one year new vehicle ended. I also noted that the Select US package differs depending on the radio and vehicle you have.
