Knowing that he would live through the day (because of probable film developments in the future) made the ending more predictable.

It's wishful thinking, but one threat scenario I would've loved to see play out in the 24 universe would be something involving the upcoming G20 summit in Toronto!
Keefer has Vic Toews in the Turtle position " Tell me where the Billion went, Now!"

Check out the movie The Sentinel. It involves FBI, a terrorist plot against the President, a G20 summit in Toronto (held at Nathan Phillips Square), AND Kiefer Sutherland is in it!!!

sixer Great ending to the Greatest show ever known to mankind. Truly will be sad to see it go, but looking forward to the movies.

Series Finale

Classic Bauer and a satisfying end to a series that changed television for the better. The movies are going to be excellent, although I hope they drop the 24 hour pacing. One quibble with the plot, I had the impression that Logan was up to something nefarious, and this was his motivation, not polishing his image. This idea seemed to be dropped in the last few episodes.

The great thing about 24 is viewers from the left and right could both find comfort in the series.

jumpy27 I agree 100%. His attack on the motorcade was amazing! The last two episodes have brought back fond memories of Miami Vice: Bad guys do bad things, bad guys get chased, bad guys get killed--no need for the court system.

Probably the TV highlight of 2010. It will be something talked about for years.

markf Logan's reaction to all that was priceless. He was squealing like a little girl.

"It, it's Jack Bauer! Kill him!"

Definitely going out on a high note.

Next week's preview is great too. Jack's smile as he aims that sniper rifle tells us something good is going to happen to a bad guy.

Mike S He had his down time with Rene before she was shot.

Tezster Not that it matters too much now that the series is close to its end, but inserting a bit of down time while the clock is ticking would really help vary the pacing, instead of every single scene being filled with 100% tension all of the time. But that's pretty much a sympton of a show following the same formula since day one.
