|dabell||I great remote option is Flirc - usb IR receiver that is simple to program via their GUI. Program to any remote, I use older DVD remotes for use with my RaspPi XMBC boxes.|

MCE remotes work with Win8. They usually include some mouse functions but a real mouse is much easier to use. A wireless keyboard with mouse pad may be a better bet. Some are about the size of a remote.
Intel computer on a stick... Reminds me of an Android stick but for Win8 and Linux. It has some interesting potential for use as an HTPC. Maybe OpenELEC will run on it. I'm just wondering what the price point is. If it's mush more than Android sticks, it will miss the market. Knowing Intel, it will be overpriced like their NUC devices.

Interesting, great way to take your PC with you. Just need a Bluetooth keyboard / mouse. Very affordable idea and everyone already has a TV.
Wonder if it will catch on mainstream

saw that recently too. first thing i thought was , cool a new way to use xbmc kodi instead of my android box.
