|buckycat||My two year contract was up recently. I called in and got Internet 300 for $65 a month and $10 a month discount on tv, both for 2 years, plus a $150 bill credit. Not bad.|

|audacity||I've got Telus Internet 150/150 + Unlimited for $70/month, which is a ~$15/mo discount from the standard price. That's a much better deal than what would have been available prior to Shaw becoming much more competitive with their 150mbps Internet offering.|

I couldn't get faster speeds, and the retention deals this year weren't quite as good last year.
Last year I negotiated Internet 50/unlimited addon/tv essentials/popular sports bundle for $63/month (Which went up to $67ish when the bundle discount decreased part way through the year).
They offered me 80 this year. I took it. I heard the Shaw modem has issues, and I have a year left on my 3 year contract so I save some money not leaving early.

|Gilles||Telus gave me their Internet 100 @ $80, with 3 months at $70. I believe that's post-bundle discount. The website says I can't even get that tier (and I can't get fibre here at all), but they offered it and sure enough, it works fine after installation. Didn't want to jump to Shaw just because I prefer Optik TV for a few reasons.|

|Canucks4life||FYI just did a chat session to confirm website now shows Internet 50 plan @ $80 before bundle discount...rep says rate change was as of Aug 29 my last bill showed $88 before bundle discount. Nice to see pricing go down for a change perhaps their starting to feel the heat from Shaw 150 promo?|

Called them last night, and got this deal for 12 months.
- Internet50 with the unlimited data addon - $25/month
- Telus OptikTV with the Essentials package - $15/month
I'm pretty happy with that. I'm not on a contract either, so I won't be penalized if I switch to another provider.

Best I can get in my condo is Internet 50 pair bonded who knows when they'll run Fibre out here...just did a chat session with Shaw which BTW is a much better interface having a separate window with no lag and confirmed Internet 150 is available at my address with current 2-yr promo.
Hmmm decisions, decisions...kind of kicking myself now for using telus.net as my primary Email for the past 10 years

|creepwalker||They never do call back even though they say they will and made that abundantly clear when i spoke to them... it is quite a task to sit on hold (i'm actually doing other things) for an hour and they seem to think its a favour they are doing for you. i let the last csr know where i stood and how well shaw treated me (as a new customer). after all they record my calls and comments... if you want my business and my money you need to show at least you care for the 5 minutes you have to deal with me. In the end i dd get what i wanted but i was prepared to walk and talk with my wallet. I did let them know why they lost me as a tv customer too. But i have to say i like Telus TV better even though i am moving on OTA|

I also received no confirmation or callback like I was promised. However I did receive an email from Telus, talking about my cancellation date and saying to call to discuss my last bill. I'm guessing Telus retention doesn't care about customers who are already set on leaving to Shaw.
