Back to the survey - in my experience most MTS customers seem to just stay with the standard speed service. Since MTS is unlimited, unless a customer REALLY wants faster downloads, they don't have to get higher speeds just to get a higher cap, like some providers.

I'm sorry but I don't like this survey or whatever you may call it. Here, in our house, we have fiber with 175 download speed and 30 upload. Nowhere does it mention it in the article...or at least that I could see. That is way faster than anything out there including the FIOS which they seem to like a lot judging the number of times they mention it in the article.
I thitnk it is biased and not really true to the actual speeds they mention.
Funny how ROGERS, who had people coming in our street today trying to win us back, that they have them touting their horns already about being the fastest in Canada. I laughed at the guy when I said they couldn't even come close to my speeds.

They received internet connection from Bell when they were in the Bell West partnership and when that ended, the connection came from Allstream.
I am pretty sure that MTS said at the announcement of the Allstream sale that they would still be using them for internet and connection to the dial up long distance network.

Under Canadian results, they list provider "MTS AllStream".
I wasn't aware that my internet services were provided under the 'AllStream' banner.
Now that AllStream has been sold, who is providing my internet?

|JamesK||Well, at 35 Mb/s, I'm almost twice Canada's rating. I've on occasion seen over 40.|

Fastest ISPs in the World
Notice where Canada, and especially MTS sit in this ranking.
