Mozza An amusing read...!

Shaw Communications Inc. has had a tough few days, especially in Winnipeg.

In just six days, the Calgary-based company managed to infuriate fans of the city’s beloved Winnipeg Jets and irritate the team’s head coach. If that wasn’t enough, Shaw also reported a 32-per-cent drop in quarterly earnings and saw its share price trickle downward by week’s end.

andyk Game was joined late in the first period on Shaw. People were trying to alert Shaw via Twitter and Facebook. Shaw finally responded on Twitter and the problem was fixed within 10 minutes.

Too bad we missed the fastest goal in Jets history but nice that they scored it, and they won.

DSgamby I am on Shaw. I was out but when I got home. TSN-Jets had the post game press conference.

Mozza Shaw in Winnipeg didn't have a feed for TSN Jets this evening - by the sounds of it, Shaw customers missed the game (screen was black?)...

MTS was unaffected, so obviously was something on Shaw's end.

A friend of mine texted me saying Shaw had virtually disconnected their tech support lines in Winnipeg because they received hundreds of calls complaining within 10 minutes of the puck dropping!

DSgamby Shaw Champ has added TSN-Jets to my account.

Thanks again Shaw Champ.

alebowgm Based on your location you should get TSN Jets, BUT, if they won't add it as its not available in your region, maybe you can get it for free as part of CI?

DSgamby I ordered NHL Centre Ice and tried to order TSN Jets today from Shaw via online chat. CI went through but I was told that TSN-Jets is not available in my area (Thunder Bay) when the CSR tried to add it to my account even though I was able to see preseason games on it already. I am contacting Shaw Champ to see if Shaw Champ can look into it.

llcarlos I'm still waiting for the CBC OTA feed in Winnipeg. I watch the NFL on CTV and A Channel and CFL on TSNdotca. There are 16 Jets games on CBC this year which is enough for me. Otherwise it will cost 70 dollars a month for 8 months of hockey.

cyclist44 Bell might not necessarily put HNIC on CTV. They have had the rights to French Saturday games for a while now and they are on RDS and not TVA. They also don't have any CFL games on CTV not even the Grey Cup. Just think HNIC on TSN no Don Cherry no Ron McLean.

alebowgm Agreed, the new theme has grown on me...
2011-09-26 01:09 PM
WetCardboard I personally like the new HNIC theme better than the old one anyway...
2011-09-26 01:08 PM
alebowgm Well it'll be Bell that will own everything, as they would put HNIC on CTV...
2011-09-26 11:06 AM
Mozza They bought the theme - so why not the history with it?

It will be a sad day when TSN owns all of NHL hockey coverage...
