    Hello,
Thanks for the heads up- I did do an FF6 antenna before,
    one with curved reflector,
the problem I dont like about it, is the V wires are too bendy and hard to get at exact angles, esp. once you knock them, they bend again...

With the 1 inch tubing I will use for the fat dipole, I wont have this problem.
    Also,
The focus on the FF6 style antennas is much more focussed and narrow than the fat dipole.
    Also,
I dont see the gain being much different? Seems like the same, only a more difficult build with the bendy wires, and some loss of broad angled reception...
    But both are good.
I also have a lot of 1 inch tubing, so why not?

I noticed you plan on building that re-worked Winegard 4400 for the new spectrum. Are you limited in space? A much better option which isn't that much larger would be :

    https://imageevent.com/holl_ands/multibay/4bayrefl/newuhffreeform4bayscreenreflopt

It has way more gain on low UHF plus it also tops out at rf36 with over 1.5dB more, on top of that it's a simpler build and it has good gain on hi-VHF.

I have the old version of this and it's been fantastic for DX'ing and everyday use. I get rf33 Buffalo WGRZ, which is 107 MILES away 24/7, it's -8.2dB according to TVfool.

    Something to consider!
