Wow disregard my previous message re sportsdevil.

I have no idea how or where I have it installed lol but looks like I managed to have it. Yay.

Kodi etc seems quite intricate. Gonna take me awhile for sure to understand it.

Just looking to install the important ones :)

    Thanks again for your help!

I'm just around the corner from you. Stouffville, well at least in my case seems to be an excellent location for reception, including ION. I built my own SBGH antennas and mounted them in my attic. I have 1 pointed at ION for consistent reception and the other pointed south towards Buffalo. I've found that an amp placed right at the feed of the antenna helps quite a bit. You won't get overload in this area. With trees you may or may not have issues. You'll have to try finding the best position. My roof doesn't seem to affect my reception. Height is the most important thing. I think my elevation may be slightly higher than yours. Also if you're going to do a tripod, or chimney mount,it is imperative that you ground your antenna to your water system, ie, outside tap. I rarely see this mentioned, and stay away from any hydro wires for safety. By the way, both the antennas you've chosen are excellent. A lot of the stations others complain about like WNYO, WUTV and WGRZ are non-issues.

    Hi fellow Stouffviller,
I'm looking into getting a roof mounted antenna (attic isn't an option) and hoped that you could give me a bit of advice as far as which one to go with. I'm near Main and Ninth and have some big walnut trees a couple of doors to the south of me. Will the trees make a big impact on the signal strength? Do I need to get the antenna above them in order to see anything? I've been looking at the Channel Master 4228HD and the Antennas Direct DB8 through saveandreplay.com out of Mississauga. Any help or advice you could give would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for your time,

    Jason
