Question Pioneer VSX-1020 worth fixing?

I have a 3yr old VSX-1020 (not a 1020-K) where the audio slowly drops lower and lower until I can no longer hear it even though the volume is cranked. If I do a factory reset it's fine for a day or two then the problem returns.
To send it south to Edmonton it will cost me at least $50 round trip plus repair costs.
Is it worth fixing or should I start shopping for something new?

Seems to be a Pioneer thing... I don't recall seeing a resolution...

Good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks 57 I wish I found that thread before. Kind of like the issues I'm having except the DB number on the avr stays the same except the audio goes down. Definity an issue with these units. Too bad I really liked Pioneer. This was my 3rd unit in 20 years. Time to look at Denon or Yamaha I guess.
