Thumbs down No Sirius XM Service on New Vehicle

Some dumb ass backed into my vehicle and left no note. Put in a claim and got a rental vehicle. It's a 2019 Chev Impala and had only 88 km on it. It's quite nice, leather interior, etc. I inquired about Sirius XM and was told that the vehicle would definitely have it on the free trial. I discovered it only had the Preview channel and Channel 0, the Radio ID.

I figured that maybe the dealer never activated it and I decided to call Sirius XM on a whim. They confirmed that the radio was "active" and would send a refresh signal. This was done and still no service. The office was then closed so I called again the next day and they said they would send a refresh signal. I was still without service. They said there was nothing that they could do and to bring it back to the dealer. I guess they missed the part about it being a rental vehicle.

I had previously tried the online refresh and received a message stating that I have exceeded the number of refresh signals in a 24 hour period. When relaying this to the rep, she said there was no such restriction and that I must be on the login page. Right! I'm the dummy!

To close off the conversation, they offered me a new radio on a promotion. Do people no longer operate with basic common sense?

Dumb question but were you inside a garage when the refresh signals were sent? I remember the last time they had to refresh my radio, I had to be stopped outside with the the motor running for about 10 minutes.
