My 1 year free trial included with new car expired so I called to renew. They wouldn't budge from retail prices. So they got nothing. Will wait for some promo.

My subscription expired in January 2014 and they charged my credit card $196.90 for one radio plus internet. I called and they offered me the $75 ($99.64). However, they would not budge on including the internet access in this amount. Others in this forum have had the internet included for the same price. So I said no. I really liked the service when I had it but do not drive much now that I am retired.

In the meantime I have signed up for the Rdio streaming service and have a free trial on the new Google Play service that started in Canada a couple weeks ago. Much better value unless you want Howard Stern (I don't). I will not be accepting any further offers from Sirius. I don't like having to renegotiate each year and once Sirius has your credit card number they will charge you the full rate and you have to phone and play the games. Enough with the games, I am gone for good.

I just cancelled my Sirius yesterday. They offered me $75 + fees to stay for another year. I did not ask if that included internet as I was not interested in staying as I never use it, but when I did it was always on the internet so if I was staying I would have only stayed if they included that.

But I can live without the satellite radio... now what to do with all these home kits... lol

I had a charge on my credit card for 185 plus taxes, phoned to complain and they offered 85 for the year that includes internet. Said the 75 deal expired a few days ago, I was fine with that.

If all you listen to is the internet I think you can get internet only plans... if you can't, maybe you can find a friend who does use their internet abilities and pay them to use theirs.

Whats the deal with the internet, this is music through their own internet site, or is it just the wifi.

Whats with the $15 in fees?

Which is better, Canadian or American SiriusXM?
What are the ways for a Canadian to get American SiriusXM if its better for my needs, is it the internet shipping American Address thing, or more of a VPN, what about using CDN CC's?

I never listen to sports, love non-stop, commercial free music and comedy, and the occasional talk-radio like that tall rude dude with the crazy hair who is also on the TV show.

I have both US and Canada. When it comes time to new channels, the US sometimes has more than its counterpart. Here in Canada, the rule used to be that for each 4 channels going up, there has to be one french. That doesn't apply in US.

Home Theatre: Yamaha HTR-6190, Klipsch Speakers, SANYO PLV-Z4, TOSHIBA HDDVD, LG BD555C, Cerwin Vega HTS12 Sub, VIP2300, XBox 360, HTPC.

retentions call

Got an email about my subs today- would have been 300$+ for two radios. Ridiculous!
Called and got no joy- transferred to retention's and got the 87$ deal per radio.

Im getting tired of doing this every year.

Shaw Direct DVR830 / DVR 605/ 605, Sony Xbr65" 950E", Sony XBR4 850d, Oppo 980H, Yamaha 7.1 Surround, PS4! WDLive

I cancelled in May - They originally offered me the $75 deal + taxes. I said no. They have called me 3 times since then to resubscribe. First time they called again it was the $75 deal for 1 year. Second time they called it was $7.99 for six months - said no. Then they called me last weekend, again with the $7.99 for six months with no activation fee...I said no....then he offered me 3 months at $2.49 per month. I caved since I am supposed to go out of town in a few weeks to a remote area and this will come in handy. So I got 3 months of Satellite radio for $11.47 taxes in - no activation fee... I'll call and cancel before the 3 months are over. But if they want to call me next year and give me the same thing for the summer.... can't go wrong at that price. I only have use for the radio in the summer, but I can live without it if need be. lol

Just thought I would share, $11.47 for 3 months is the lowest I have seen in a while.
