I'm in the planning stages for a wholesale revamp of my "telecom experience".
I've searched the forums as best I can, but have seen no comment about Start Communications (start.ca) phone service. Does anyone have any experience with them as a phone service provider?
Start is fairly new to the VoIP game but it does get pretty good reviews on other forums. I guess they are planning some enhancements this summer.
I am with Start cable internet but when I signed up they didn't have VoIP. I signed up with Teksavvy's basic $10 VoIP service and so far I'm loving it. Works great on the Start network. I would assume Start uses the same equipment as Teksavvy so I would think Start's VoIP would be great too.
Yesterday I switched from Ma Hell to Start VOIP. $15 per month and includes long distance across Canada and a whole lot of features. Ma Hell was charging $15 just for the caller ID feature alone.
I did have to pay $25 for the ATA VOIP adapter.
I already have internet with Start, 25/10 DSL. Never any issues.
What a great bunch of friendly and knowledgeable staff at Start!
