Wireless Signal Booster

I have very poor cell signal at my cottage and have been investigating wireless extenders, specifically the YX500 from Wireless Extenders. It comes in two models, one for the 1900 MHz frequency and one for the 800 MHz frequency.

Our cellphones are Rogers (GSM/EDGE) but my wireless card is Telus (EVDO). Where can I find the frequency range for each of these services? There is a dual band model but it is more expensive.

Has anyone tried this product with success (or otherwise).

(my neighbour who is 50' higher up the hill has 5 bars so I know height is the issue)
