Connecting to Windows Mobile with Laptop

I just picked up a HTC Touch with Bell to replace a very old Samsung and I want to set up my contacts. Since the Samsung can't be connected to the laptop, nor do I want to pay someone 50 bucks to do it, I am going to manually copy my contact information from the Samsung to the Touch.

Is there any way to do this via my laptop? I would rather use the laptop keyboard to enter all my contacts for obvious reasons. I don't use MS Outlook or Exchange, so ActiveSync is useless for anything outside copying files. If anyone can reccomend an application (preferably free) that will allow me to to this, I would appreciate it.

Even if you use another program for email, you could probably import the address book from whatever program you use into Outlook Express just to sync with the Touch and then never use Outlook again.

You can also go to any corporate Bell store and get them to transfer the contacts using their Cellebrite machine for $15.
