This story came from the Globe and Mail and was then picked up by National POst.

The Globe is now saying

Quote:
Molson said it made a mistake. The company has no idea when the iPhone will be launched in Canada and is only on a waiting list with Rogers for the device, according to spokeswoman Marie-Helene Lagace.

Bell is CDMA, iphone is GSM. Bell WILL NOT be carrying this product. It's Rogers or no one.

Does it realy matter anymore when the phone is so readily available here now.
The price is probably cheaper than if roger had it plus the contract and all.

You can already get the iPhone here in Vancouver. Just go to the Apple store on Broadway.

Apple Store in Vancouver? when did this happen?

Westworld and simply computing are a stretch to be called an Apple store.

Well a coworker of mine got his new iPhone at the Apple store on Broadway (at the corner of Hemlock and Broadway), about 6 weeks ago. He said it was $450.

I'm calling hooligans on this one seeing as there is no Apple Store in Vancouver...and even if there was, the phone hasn't been released in Canada and has no service provider.

And Broadway is an unlikely spot for an Apple store. In fact, Apple has announced plans too open a store in the Pacific Centre as that mall is renovated in advance of the 2010 tourism boost. No date has been set for the opening; only the location has been revealed.

If there is an Apple authorised dealer on Broadway selling iPhones hauled in from Seattle, don't expect it to be authorsied for long.

As per the name of this thread, that news article is incorrect and was retracted by Molsons.
