BBZ30 won't unpair with car stereo

I have a KIA soul and I use my BBZ30 to pair with the built in stereo. This works fine. The problem is that daily when I go to the GYM and the 3 or so minutes it takes before I try to pair the BB to a Motorola headset (IT DOESN'T WORK). I have to turn the phone off and then back on to clear the pairing to the car stereo and then my headset will pair. Any suggestions. This phone takes a couple of minutes to boot up.

What happens if you disconnect the car connection via the phone before turning off the car and leaving range of the headunit?

I'll give it a try, but I just drive to the gym with the phone off and then turn it on when I leave the car.

Bluetooth is a fickle technology. You may need to experiment with the suggestion above, or initiating a connection from the headset or other variables to get some success.
