James I agree. No LTE. But its Nexus. Updates are always first. Its a fast processor than most.

For example, I have Galaxy Nexus, running 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. And a friend of mine with S3 (a better phone) still runs Ice cream Sandwich.

Also, I am reading reports of GN already getting 4.2 Jelly Bean OTA. Those with Takju. I should be up anytime now

Nexus 4 is being shipped with 4.2.

James best part is price. $309 ? OMG, Apple do you have any last wish?

Kidding guys.

Getting reports its Sold Out in Britain too.

One article said, might go on sale here 12:00 noon (Nov 13)

But who knows if that is true.

Ebay has them for sale already, some going over $450 in bids with over a day left.

Sold out very fast in North America as well. Unfortunately, we don't know how many units Google had, but judging from reports online, Google's servers weren't prepared for the rush of people wanting to buy the phone. Lots of people reported issues completing their order.

Add me to those people :-(

Was even able to load in cart, give credit card info. But it kicked me out.

I hear people who got it was thru phone.

On the bright side I just got my 4.2 update on GN :-)
Its not bad, a few good changes.

The sale actually began early...I was in the queue before noon eastern time (11:48 to be precise).

I had to try a few times before I managed to get things straightened out...it kicked me out at least three times. When I finally got to the payment page, there were some problems with Google Wallet, but those resolved.

By 12:22, I had a receipt from Google saying my phone (I bought the 8 Gb version) had been purchased.

It is expected to be shipped Thursday, and should arrive by Monday.

Now, the only question remains is whether to buy the Nexus 10 or not.

I'd sell my GS3 for one.... Only cuz I got a serious addiction to new hardware lol

Hope all nexus phones continue to sell direct like this at low prices

The rumor is there will be more stock in 2 - 3 weeks and that demand may not be filled till the end of January. I hope my 3GS will hold out till then.

I was tempted to get Nexus 4, but without LTE, I don't think it's worth the upgrade over my Galaxy Nexus.

i really don't know why people care about LTE. how fast do you really need the internet on a cellphone? especially with how bad data plans are in canada. i would take a 3G nexus over any LTE phone any day

It's great for tethering purposes (to a tablet, for example). It's like any Internet connection though: once you get used to faster speeds, it's hard to go back to anything slower.

My cell provider (Wind Mobile) doesn't have LTE so it's not an issue for me.

Its fantastic, I can stream internet radio without any drops, view videos, stream music all better than my internet at home..............I've got a 6gb data plan and have yet to go over 50% usage though.

Aside from the benefit when tethering a computer, LTE is also supposed to provide lower latency, which will make for better VoIP calls. The cell network is gradually moving to VoIP and there are also VoIP apps for other providers.
