No news on Netflix or Skype as of yet, probably the two biggest missing apps on the platform. Email both companies and ask them for it. The more interest the better, many others have as well. There are some folks on a popular blackberry enthusiasts site trying to get both Android versions working with very little success. So far there is only a gimped version of Skype that doesn't work with the video and probably not the mic either. You have to side load the app, meaning installing it with your PC and your PB hooked up with a USB cable outside the official App World store. This is potentially dangerous.

Could someone with 2.0 run this browser benchmark and post your results?

As a reference point, my Galaxy Nexus got 111,295. I Looks like HTML 5 performance on the PlayBook is great but overall performance could still be improved.

I had also run Sunspider on the PlayBook and gotten a score of 2460.

Thanks Mark. I was curious to see what improvement there was. Pre 2.0 machines scored around 43k.

My iPad1: 67k
Asus Transformer Prime on balanced (middle power) 92k, 100k on performance mode.

I am not trying to start a pi$$ing contest... Just curious to see where html5 is at.

What is a practical use of controlling your PB with your BB phone, with the keyboard and mouse?

Experienced BB users can type much faster on a BB than a PB. I personally find 7" tablets awkward for typing in either landscape or portrait mode. 10" tablets are somewhat better in landscape mode as you can kind of do 10 finger touch typing but I would prefer the option of using a BB for a keyboard on my iPad.

Also if the PlayBook is connected to a TV or projector, the phone now makes a nice presentation remote

Thanks guys. My boss has a PB and a BB phone, so I want to give him ideas on how it could be useful. I'll tell him about using it as a presentation mouse. I guess the part about typing on the PB is if you wanted to do a report on your PB. But for emails or whatever, if you're typing on your phone, might as well send with your phone.

Netflix has since confirmed that it has no plans to develop for Playbook or Blackberry.
