Sony Ericsson first smartphone now in Canada

Sony Ericcson today announced the launch of the XPERIA X1, the first smartphone to be offered by the company in Canada

Manufactured by the HTC Corporation, the folks who brought you the HTC Magic and Dream, the XPERIA X1 will be available through Rogers Wireless for $475 without a contract.

Sure can't see a niche for this smartphone.

this phone was exciting when it was first shown about 17 months ago...

maybe some WM6.5 action would help it out

Between the BB Curve, Apple 3GS, Palm Pre and HTC Android phone, who would want this?

I think there is a small niche market for it.. in terms of WM phones it is a great one, with a beautiful 800x480 pixel screen, and decent no-term pricing. I think there is quite a few WM users who are after this phone.

How can you ignore WinMo devices? Granted, what OS you end up with is your own objective choice, but this is the best WinMo smartphone available to Canadians.
