SaskTel 4G LTE launched today (Jan 30 2013)

http://www.sasktel.com/LTE/

My iPhone 5 still says 3G so far, and the dealer I went to said they're rolling it out over the next couple days, cause they have to "add LTE" to each customer's account...seems weird, but whatever.

SaskTel says iPhone 5 nano sims are LTE ready, so it should just pick it up. We'll see.

Anyone else here got LTE yet?

Rogers has had LTE in Regina Since October 2012. Why is it only "news" worthy when Sasktel does something?

Not sure what you're talking about. When Rogers launched their LTE network it got plenty of attention around here.

Not in Regina - It was turned on in October - I found out by looking at my Rogers bill. It was sort of odd. Small market I guess - so that could explain it.

Sorry, I thought this was the SaskTel forum...anyway, it came on when I got in my car at about 4pm, it doesn't seem to work at my workplace just yet (which is fine, I'm on wi-fi there anyway). Thanks.

I got back from Toronto on Friday night. No LTE at the airport but I had two bars at home on my iPhone 5.

Coverage is pretty variable - good in places, bad in others - but it's there. Of course you can always fall back to the HSPA+ network.

Yes, Rogers has had LTE in Regina since October but SaskTel already has it in White City, Balgonie and Lumsden and Rogers' LTE does not work in any of those places. In fact, Rogers is EDGE in Lumsden, not even UMTS/HSPA.
