Thumbs down Sasktel allowed to call out of country to solicit service???

This one is very strange. For about the last week ive been getting my semi-every other month solicitation calls from Sasktel still trying to convince me to get MAX TV, well the last time they called about early Feb I told them for the last time it was to be a resounding "No", I said to the rep that I think sasktel is great as I have them for Landline, canadian cell, securTek & internet service(Ultra) but ive always been a "SatGuy" and always will. Anyways the calls started up again last week and I just didn't want to bother with them again, so I haven't been picking up the phone when they call. Well my wife who is back home in Montana this week getting ready for easter weekend tells me a short while ago that she got a call up there at our house and low & behold it was sasktel asking if we are interested in MAX HD service. I couldn't believe it, I told my wife I would deal with it before I go up there on Thursday. I can't figure out how they got that number(although I know we gave it to SecurTek, but I didn't think that the everyday sales rep would have access to that kind of information) and why they felt the need to call out of country. I will be sure to ask when I call them shortly. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Because I sure haven't.

SaskTel wouldn't call you at a 406 number. Either she answered her 306 cell or you have some sort of call forwarding going on.

SaskTel doesn't check to see what tower your phone is on when they call, I'm sure. Privacy concerns would make that rather unethical. They simply call. If you answer, they talk to you.

They called a 306 number and they wouldn't look to see where she is located, so that's why you got the call. I'm sure privacy reasons preclude SaskTel from looking to see what tower she is on before calling her.

Unless your plan includes US roaming, I'd suggest just not answering unfamiliar calls when you're roaming.
