Cogeco router issue related to Android phone?
Just got 2 new Samsung Galaxy J3 android phones for my Bell mobility plan. Great little phone. Odd issue has popped up tough:
These phones (my wife and I) connect to WiFi no problem. The issue is that the phones cannot connect to the internet (for browing or any apps like banking, Twitter, etc.). To muddy the waters even more..... it is only an issue at home where I have Cogeco. I can connect fine at the Bell store, or my workplace, etc. and the internet works fine.
I have been on the phone with tech support of both Cogeco and Bell multiple times with no resolution. Bell even suggested I call Samsung tech support - biggest waste of 30 mins ever.
My wife briefly got them working, something to do with adding a network? But, I went to work yesterday, and all was fine, got home, and as soon as I connected to my home WiFi - no internet again!
Any suggestions? I have seen by "googling" that this is a common issue, but I shouldn't have to monkey around with router settings on the phone or my Cogeco router every time, or even at all just to accommodate a new phone. Another twist in this plot.....the old android based phone works.
