Nothing was said about AMC HD.

This is what they replied...
Quote:
We originally intended to launch our new HD channels this month. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our launch date has been moved out to June.
I figure it'll be announced a week after it arrives. The CSRs on social media like to refer to the "What's New" section of the website but it took them 3 weeks to announce on that page that WWE was added.

AMC HD could arrive in June also. Or in June 2019.

They should add back WPCH and add TCM too. I'm surprised TCM isn't part of the deal. Time Warner typically tries to enforce carriage agreements for all channels.

I'm still waiting for AMC HD. I would trade CNN, HLN, CNN Intl and any other Time Warner channels for just AMC HD.

Personally, I don't have much desire for AMC in HD but I understand the frustration. I mean, EVERY other provider has it in Canada.

What the heck is the issue anyways?????? Is AMC asking $25 a month from everyone? Did the Cogeco team insult the President of AMC networks' spouse or something?

Cogeco is trying to be the "Shaw Direct" of cable.

According to their FB staff, Action HD is coming in June along with CNN, HLN in HD and CNN International.

Still no idea about TCM, Peachtree, Fox Sports Racing, MLBtv, MSNBC HD, GustoTV, DTour HD, GSN HD or AMC HD. They, or some of them, could show up next month or July 2019.

OK, that makes Cogeco look worse.

They have the "Action HD" banner on the "What's New" page of their site. I asked them on Facebook if this was a mistake. They said they will get back to me. Still waiting...

Shaw Direct may have CNN HD, TCM HD and AMC HD but they don't have these...

Good point. I wish they would pick up some of these channels. We are Shaw Direct customers.

I looked at the missing channel list. There are some errors on it. Comedy HD is on Shaw Direct, for example. Also W network. However, the list is missing CTV 2.

The Comedy Network shown on that list is the Western feed.

They do have CBC News Network and RDI though.

Same thing for W Network, Shaw Direct carries W Network East HD only. The list doesn't include any OTA networks. It does need updating though as Shaw Direct has added beIN Sports and WWE. Even Cogeco's list needs to be updated too.

Cogeco made another mistake regarding CNN, HLN and CNN International in announcing by messages sent to Tivo customers that they were added. They are supposed to be added by June 30th. Zap2it lists 183 as CNN International (SD) and CNN HD and HLN HD on 808 & 809 respectively.

Still no number yet for Action HD.

I would have thought that with all their analog channels being shut off over all the Ontario systems that it would open up LOTS of bandwidth which may be the cause of the slow addition of some HD channels.
