The Navigatr firmware is an issue all of itself..

But the NB3 pretty much solved all the hardware issues per say.. none of the lag, etc that the NB2 was very prone to.

I just saw an ad on TV that Bell Fibe is getting 4K this month.

There is NOTHING anywhere on news or on Bell's website, but check the Bell forum on this website in the 4K thread and you will see this recent post:

"Just spoke with the loyalty department about renewing my yearly credits for my services today and asked the CSR about 4K. She said the 4K receivers are launching January 18th, 2016. She also said it works with FTTN as well and would work with 25/10 and up and would require new receivers. As always, take this with a grain of salt."

So there is info in the news today about Bell's new 4K PVR:

Bell Fibe TV launches Canada's best 4K Whole Home PVR -- MONTRÉAL, Jan. 18, 2016

It's funny - Rogers was BRAGGING back on about Oct 4 of LAST YEAR about their great 4K TV - and they won't have a 4K PVR available until about mid-April - and Bell has a whole home 4K PVR available NOW.

Bell's 4K PVR will also record 150 hours of 4K content, and is ready for high dynamic range (HDR).

Oh - and when I posted this info in the 4K thread on the Rogers Community forum - it got DELETED by the Rogers moderator because it was SPAM!

Oh - so it is OK for Rogers to spam the TV channels with dozens and dozens of commercials interrupting our TV shows - bragging about how great their 4K TV is - but when a person posts a few words about Bell TV - THAT is spam? Ya. Right.

Its rogers boards.. its their choice on what they can remove.
(just like the owners/mods of this site, could choose to remove anything they wanted to from here, its within their rights)

Part of the ToS for using the boards, is that there isn't advertising for the other companies.
I am SURE that if you went on BELL forums, and posted about ROGERS stuff, it would be just the same.

If you want a more NEUTRAL grounds for discussion, your better to go to sites like this

---------

As for the bell PVR.. just curious what content Bell is scheduled to have? Are they going to have access to the same 4k sports channels, etc?

Hopefully we don't end up seeing the split... bell with THESE channels in 4k, rogers with these OTHER ones.

If you read the Bell 4K stuff....its say Existing Fibe customers can register and ge the service....doesnt say anything about new customers and when the might actually get the 4K WHPVR....could still have to wait until April also. Certainly doesnt make it seem like I can call and get it tomorrow....plus Bell internet speed and packages dont seem to par with Rogers....and the ISP database bares that out.....
