Replace rented 8300SD with what?

I currently am on the lifetime free rental of 2 PVR's from about 3 years ago when Rogers offered the deal to get me back from Bell.

Anyway, 1 is a 8300HD ($24.95/month), the other is a 8300SD ($19.95/month). On my bill I am charged for both rentals, then credited for both seperately.

I am having some issues with my 8300SD, if I go into a Rogers store and ask for an exchange, what will they give me? I have done this twice with my 8300HD and always received (of course) a free replacement 8300HD.

But I have read that the 8300SD are no longer available. Will they just give me a 8300HD and increase the credit or will I have to start paying the $5/month difference?

Anyone out there experiance this yet?

At least one other member here has exchanged the SD for an HD unit, however, he was able to keep only the SD lineup, not having access to the HD channels at no charge. That sounds like one option, but if you want an HD unit for watching HD, then you may be able to negotiate it for a slight charge. You'll need to negotiate with Rogers.

I have replaced my broken rented 8300SD for another at a Rogers Plus stores this year. You will need to call the store to see when they have one available.
