Problems with TSN HD AND RSNHD

I've been experiencing problems with TSNHD and RSNHD (not the SD channels)
I have 4 terminals at home, 2 SD 1 8300HD and 1 4250HD. Both HD receivers are having problems showing TSN and RSN. its often completly black/grey or skips and plays very choppy.

i called videotron and the technical support rep and he said there is a problem with the signal. And they are sending a technician.

he also mentioned that if i changed the videotron wiring that was done, i may be charged. im assuming he means the outside wiring, but in my house i did split the signal once for each of my inputs (total of 2) .
Am i not allowed to do that?

Could my spiltter be the problem?

Im also not sure why the signal could be weak if all other channels are working fine. its only tsn and rogers in HD for both HD STBs.

A bad splitter can affect certain channels more than others. A splitter needs to be rated 5-1000 MHz and bidirectional. See the following sample thread:

Here's a thread on checking the signal strength, as well as other tips:

Had the same issue 2 sundays ago on RSN. During colts nfl game. As soon as the camera would pan left-right the image became unwatchable. Even the gf noticed it. Like macroblocking to the extreme. All other channels were fine. Spoke to tech support, it was an issue with rsn (which is believable since other channels were fine). They notified RSN.

If you are only having issues with those channels, its probably not an issue on your end. Probably the feed.
