Please put your location and service provider into your UserCP Profile (location). this helps us help you.

You can connect "cable wires" to any TV, however, what you will get depends on your TV (make and model please), your service provider and your location.

In answer to your implied question, perhaps the following post will help.

Thanks for the info, but I don't believe you took the time to read the links I provided.

With Videotron, basically all you'll get if you plug your cable directly into the TV is the analogue channels (usually the ones under channel 100). If you want to have digital cable or HD service, you'll need to purchase/rent a STB (set top box) from Videotron and subscribe to the channels you want, some of which come in "packages".

Please stop making us guess what it is you want and clearly delineate your desires (and read the links)

I will move this thread into the Videotron forum.

im sorry i dont no the proper names and terms, im new to this.

its just that i read that the WESTINGHOUSE is a monitor, i have videoton cable, with less then 100 channels (i guess analogue channels), and the cable wire screws into my tv now (27" sanyo), but would the westinghouse monitor have the proper "input" (not sure if proper term) to connect the cable?

imma read the links now.thnx.

Based on the specs on the Westinghouse site, this TV has an NTSC (analogue) tuner, so you should be able to get the analogue channels that you're currently seeing on your Sanyo, however, to get HD on this TV, you'll need an HD STB from Videotron.
