NHL Centre Ice... not for Illico :(

I asked Videotron (no reply yet) if they were planning on offering NHL Centre Ice.

I saw on the NHL Web Site that Rogers and Cogeco already offer it elsewhere in Canada.

Why should we be the last to get it, AGAIN?

Until they get rid of analog Viewer's choice and Super Écran's channels, their bandwith is pretty much maxed out right now. They were supposed to do this back in april, but since the preview channels are still airing, I assume they still haven't.

Last week I sent a letter to Nhl Center Ice and here is the answer:

Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately, Videotron has refused our offer to carry NHL Center Ice. We ask that you continue to contact your provider and ask for the Centre Ice package.

We are available on Rogers, Cogeco and Access Cable as well as Bell ExpressVu.

Thanks,
NHL Center Ice

I'm so frustrated.
I can't believe it!
Videotron are so stupid.

Thumbs up Nhl Center Ice Will Come This Fall (confirm)

Good news!

Confirm by September 1st 2006 a new sports pack will be available that will include the following: NFL SUNDAY TICKET+ NHL CENTER ICE+ MLB EXTRA INNINGS, for the price of 29.99/month. A minimum contract of 12 months.

ROGERS CABLE OFFERS THE SAME SPORTS PACK FOR 26.95/MONTH.

I saw the same thing in the 24 heures newspaper this morning.

Do you think there is going to be a way to order these separately? I am not that much into baseball (especially from November to March!) and football.
I think NHL only goes for 199$ per season. It beats 360$.

I called them today to register to the big deal (Sportmax package) - MLB, NFL and NHL... thinking: "What the heck, I'll get two months of baseball in before hockey starts".

After 10 minutes on hold searching for the code, they tell me that they're sorry, that the package will only come out in October, thus making us miss the whole baseball season.

So the Sportmax package will become only NHL Centre Ice for me.
