Anyone else notice when surfing ahead more than a week or so on the Program Guide that it really bogs down when advancing to the next hourly period?

Yes the guide is slow when it goes past a week. As well my guide every couple of weeks will not show past 7 days and I have to reboot the pvr to get it to show up to 15 days.

Question How to document/report Illico II bugs

Do anyone of you know if there is an email alias or any simple way (aside from calling Videotron support) to report bugs or issues with Illico II.

It would seem that it would benefit Videotron (and in the end the users) to have this information if they are to improve on their product stability and functionality.

just a thought..

Thanks,

@Gillest : You can either call STC, or you can leave a message on their facebook page.

julie_rose glad to hear that. In general I have not had any issues. I have had two recordings not record but not sure why. Other than that the system to me is no worse and actually better than before as far as performance. However, if you read other forums there seem to be alot of issues so maybe we are part of the lucky ones!

Anyway, keeps me with videotron awhile longer.

I noticed last night that the time on my terminal time was off by 40 seconds. Has anyone else noticed this? Rebooting solved the issue.

Has anyone else's boxes temporarily frozen when fast forwarding and just kept going no matter what button you press?

Clock losing time

Just spoke with Videotron and it seems this is an issue with the Cisco boxes.
They are working to resolve but for now a hard reboot is the only solution.

Hey this is the only issue I have had with 2.0 so I can not say it is that big of a deal.

Cisco 8642 ng rebooting

I noticed this morning at 7am my pvr rebooted (it was not on). I called tech support and they said that they will be doing many updates over the next few weeks to fix bugs with illico ng. This could be good news but may interrupt recordings depending on when the updates occur.

Automatic Update

Just got an email this morning from Videotron saying that my Cisco 8642 will be AUTOMATICALLY updated to the new software within the next few weeks. Fact is that I'm currently using an external hard drive with many saved recordings. Previous posts state that the new software does not support external drives and that an upgrade causes 2 issues:

1. You lose the recordings contained on the external drive (can't tell which ones beforehand)

2. You can no longer use the external drive after the upgrade: less recording space :-( :-( :-(

I'll call to see if they can take my terminal OFF the list. Not happy...

UPDATE: Called Videotron and my update was planned for the 16th. They have removed my terminal from the automatic upgrade cycle and I should stay on the old software. Let's see if this works.

I also asked if the new software would eventually support external hard drives and the answer was that they do not know and if it ever does, they would call the clients still on the old software and offer an upgrade at that time.
