Some questions about Travel+Escape - HD?

I use Videotron and only have SD channels from them on an SD TV. I have some (dumb) questions since I don't have a HD TV.....

T+E recently switched to HD? Where their old shows (Life's a Trip or Stratusphere) shot in SD? It looks like they upscaled it to HD. Now it looks blocky. Other things I notice: there's some flicker when there is movement, like in trees, the T+E logo is not on the lower right end of the screen but a bit in the centre as if they were supposed to crop the picture around it for SD pictures.

How does it look like on a HD TV? Very curious!

Travel and Escape is not among Videotron's HD offerings - at least not in the greater Montreal region.

Travel + Escape was a CTV Television specialty, but was sold to Glassbox Television (owner of BiteTV and Aux, not available on Vidéotron) earlier this year and relaunched with a new logo starting November 1st. They haven't launch a HD channel yet, but the image indeed looks blocky.

It's on a free preview until january 31.

It would appear, however, that T+E still isn't investing in purchasing any new seasons of their existing shows. I still see the same episodes of Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations and Andrew Zimmern's Bizarre Foods over and over ad nauseum.
