Does the illico box need to be registered or is it plug and play?

Any box needs to be properly activated on your (active subscriber) account. However, the DTAs (digital adapters) are/were supplied for free by Videotron and need to be returned to them as they are considered "rentals". Any other STB needs to be properly activated, but make sure you go through the correct procedure when purchasing one. See the following thread in the Rogers forum, but the procedures are the same - simply substitute Videotron for Rogers.
