Distributing coax out from 9200 to multiple TVs

Currently I am using the TV2 coax to go to my bedroom TV. I would like to split that to go to three or four TVs so they have access to the PVR. What do I need to do? Just a splitter? Or, do I need to add an amp?

Should be fine with just a splitter - you shouldn't get much signal degradation splitting a signal that is sourced a few feet away, such that you shouldn't need an amp as long as you aren't splitting it into more than, say, 3 or 4 lines. Of course, all post splitter TVs will have to watch the same channel.

Great. The line currently going to my TV2 passes through my mechanical room right after coming out of the 9200, so it will be easy to network it from there. I'll post my results with the splitter only, and report if I need a booster or not.

Arrow Good Question

Ha,

you need a splitter to go from your pvr

but not just any splitter, make sure you use a splitter that uses the same channel range type,

and no, you won't loose any cable signal.
