I also had problems with sasktel for a while after first getting HD in January. But after finally getting a good tech out who really made an effort to track down our problem, everything has been great. It's been literally months now since I've had any kind of freezing or glitches.

I strongly recommend that you at least try it out. There's usually a 4 months for half-price sort of deal on, so if you're experiencing the same kind of problems as some people are, then just cancel at the end of the promotion.
