I am also thoroughly enjoying the online multiplayer. I am at level 18, and I cannot get enough time to play it. The game should have its own warning label. Warning: highly addictive can ruin your life, cause you to lose your job and result in a broken family.

Great game but the only way I could get it to display in 1080 mode was to disable 720p from the display options on the main PS3 screen.

Every man is my superior, in that, I may learn from him.

Good point, Lou. I think I have been playing this in 720p all along!!! I disabled 720p as well, but I haven't had the chance to fire up COD4. Can't wait to try it tonight.

My COD4 Xmas present got popped in for the 1st time last night...

Wowsa!

Graphics are killer and story/action intense as hell...I think I got 1/2 way through in one session..."the stakehouse?"

Tried online for an hour and didn't come in last...that's saying something ...love the kill cams but miss the Theatre capabilities of Halo3 !

Next objective...actually read the manual

Im all thumbs! LOL This is my first console since i lived at home with a sega genesis. Im slowly learing how to sight with my thumb, im a pc gamer(not avid)and the mouse and keyboard feel more at home. This game has me hooked. IT was not since HALF LIFE(the first one) and then Metal of Honour, that i have actually played a game all the way through to the end.... this game has the holding power to keep me playing.

Funny story. Got the family over, mom,dad and grandma. Grandma is about 84years old, she comes down while my dad and i are playing the game..... 10minutes later she asks my dad what movie we were watching! I had a good laugh, it does look pretty real on the 42"..

I've been playing since Dec 01, and I'm level 53 and since I'm near the end and wont be able to go any higher I found it funny to complete all the challenges. The funniest ones are the humiliation and killer challenges.

Ever slow cook a grenade and walk into pinned group from the other team and kill them all and yourself, its pretty funny to bad we can't keep the kill cam video

I've been at level 55 for a couple of weeks now, but will not upgrade to prestige mode until I complete all challenges which will take me awhile. Some of the challenges are quite fun, but overall, quite a few are difficult to achieve...guess that's what makes this game so much fun.

I beat the game in about 6 hours. I have not ventured online yet since none of my friends have it or seem to be playing it. May take a peak this weekend and see how bad I do.

For anyone who loves a good challenge, the Veteran mode is definitely the way to go. Expect a few cursing words along the way!

I bought this about a month ago but just got around to opening it yesterday. Wow, what a game! Very intense and the story is so film-like, it's better than most movies. Very impressed. I played for 4 or 5 hours yesterday and have just completed the Chernobyl section (15 years earlier). I hope that there is a lot more game to go, cause I am really enjoying it. I prefer to play single player campaign rather than go online.

It looks great but i just want to see it in 1080i as well, i tried settin the system up for only 1080i but it still fires the game up to 720

Same problem. Suggestions?

This game is beyond amazing online (PS3). I can't get enough of it. My buddies come over to play and it feels like forever before I get a turn!

Amazing game and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a great FPS.

absolute must have. this game is best if played with the surround sound fired up. i love the ambient noises and is really good for sneaking up on people. the graphics are incredible.

rented it first to see if the hype was warranted....bought it the very next day lol

I bought the game on boxing day because it was marked down to $40, and I just started playing online on Friday after finally getting Live Gold. It's a lot of fun, but I'm quite bad at it. This is the first time I've played any kind of shooter online and I'm in over my head!
It's still a lot of fun, despite the fact that I consistently come in at the bottom of the pack... oh well. I guess my skills will improve with time.
