Thumbs up 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' Blu-ray w/IMAX Footage Exclusive-Wal-Mart

Wal Mart apparently is the only chain store to carry this i-max version of the movie.

"According to the administrator on Michael Bay's website and tformers.com, a Blu-ray edition of 'Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen' where the IMAX scenes open up completely (like in 'The Dark Knight') will be exclusive to Wal-Mart stores"

Hope some of you didn't pre-order this! Also I hope it will be available here at Wal-Marts in Canada

There is enough "demo" material from actual good movies that I don't feel it necessary to buy junk like this.

Good to know...

Hopefully the Imax versions are plentiful up here and NOT exclusive to Walmart. They are very hit and miss with new releases, at least in the KW area.

I have to agree with smegger2000...this movie, for me, was awful.

Ok guys, to each their own I suppose, but the title of the thread is to inform about the Imax version of this movie.... NOT WHETHER YOU LIKE/DISLIKE/HATE/LOVE the movie.
Please save those comments for the appropriate thread.

Has anyone been able to find out if this IMax version will in fact be available at Canadian Walmarts? walmart.ca only has one bluray listed so I'm assuming that is the regular 2 disc version of the movie and the cover art supports that as the cover art for the IMax version is different.

I know it's a small market up here, but wow it would be nice if just a little info was available regarding the Imax version. Ads are up all over from the usual, FS BB etc. but no mention of this version.
Anyone hear anything? A rumour from a Walmart employees neighbors best friends cousin would suffice right now...

For those of you getting the free steelbook case for Transformers 2 at Future Shop, you'd better hurry. The FS at Eglington and Lebovic had only 10 steelbook cases total. They were gone within the first 5 minutes the store opened. I got there just as the store doors opened. I know they say limited quantities but only 10 per store. Thats ridiculous.

Also, if you do get your hands on a steelbook case, don't forget that you also have to buy the Blu Ray seperately. One customer only picked up the steelcase thinking the movie was inside and it was only the good hearted nature of another customer that told him the steelbook case was empty.

Yes, that was a curious way to package it. I picked it up at FS in Waterloo, there was at least 20 steelbook cases left.

I got the steelbook case with my BR this morning in Kingston.

Quickly checked out the PQ and SQ and I have to say that both blew me away.

The DTS-HD soundtrack is stunning right from the moment the studio logo comes on screen....
