Wow. More buzzwords than you can shake a stick at. I remember when software development was about writting applications, not integrating the latest application framework into your organization.

The article was mostly focused on web front-end technologies... no mention of Data Mining (Cognos gobbled by IBM) nor of Virtualization (record breaking IPO by VMWare) in the enterprise. Also IMHO, the RoR fad has run its course... I hear less and less of it nowadays.
