Perhaps rephrasing to first line and second line (i.e. supervisor).

Moved into a new place this week and got FibreOp. Nice to be with a company that respects its NB customers instead of treating it like some far flung colony who should be OK with table scraps.

If Rogers ever gets off their duff and upgrades the TV service here, I may switch back. I'm not betting on it though.

See you on the dark side.

I agree BA does care more about their customers as an Atlantic company but you certainly pay for it. Bell-Aliant theme packs are designed to make you pay more than you should and they are taking advantage of customers by doing that. I am no huge fan of Rogers, believe me. However, until a'la carte comes I will stay put and save some $$s on channels I get in Digital VIP at lower cost.

And Rogers theme packs aren't?

Making you pay for channels you don't want to get the ones you do is the entire reason theme packs exist as a concept.

Of course their packs are as much of a gouge if your preferred channels exist only in them. The fact of the matter is that Rogers VIP offers more channels in one bundle than anything similar BA offers without having to add multiple theme packs in addition to their best bundle to get it. For me, it works and is still more affordable than how BA has theirs structured.

Ok. Did the math again and w/the current 36 mos bundle and 50% off theme packs I have no reason to stay with Rogers. Feb 25th FiberOp TV arrives! Good riddance to poor selection and degrading HD! Perhaps Toronto will start caring about NB and NL customers and invest in infrastructure. Until then they will keep losing customers.

Rogers Cable package pricing

That is the same problem I have. In order not to be paying near to a hundred bucks for more unwanted channels I had to go to VIP. I wanted to have Sportsnet One, Speed and TSN2 and a few other channels my wife wanted. So hopefully in the near future we can pick and choose our channels so as not to have about 40+ channels that never get looked at. Some say BA would be best for you but we live in an older 72 unit apt building in East Saint John and can't get FibreOp. Our landlord has a sweet deal with Rogers and they are putting fiber all over the city for Internet and we have the wire but not sure if it is connected yet!
Bell only has old copper wire that is slow and unreliable so damned if we do, and damned if we don't.
