Anyone one know if and when it will be available?

Since we still have don't have Nextbox3 boxes yet, after 3-4 years, I am guessing 4k boxes are a long while off still.

I too wonder about who will get 4k sooner. The west coast or Atlantic Canada.

Little bird told me this....
Q1 2017 is the goal. Same platform being rolled out in Ont.

Now I don't know if 2017 is a typo or not. I'm sure he will let me know.

Home Theatre: Yamaha HTR-6190, Klipsch Speakers, SANYO PLV-Z4, TOSHIBA HDDVD, LG BD555C, Cerwin Vega HTS12 Sub, VIP2300, XBox 360, HTPC.

Me thinks 4K TV will be mainly for sports events, other wise the networks(I'm assuming not sure if the same studio cameras can do both HD & 4 K broadcasts?) Also I can't see the US network changing all the network shows into 4K especially if they need to but new equipment for it?

Word is that September of this year will be the time Telus will roll out 4k for Western Canada. I'm not sure if that puts Western Canada ahead of Atlantic Canada.

@Exhile Bell should have their 4K receiver in Atlantic Canada well before Telus.

Q1 2017 was the best estimate that Rogers could give me. Aliant FibreOP offers 4K now so after ten years with Rogers I switched. Raptors and Blue Jays home games are in 4K and TSN had the Masters in 4K. The picture is incredible. Overall I'm happy with the move.

Rogers Atlantic is always behind in tech, so I'd be surprised if we see this at any point in 2017. I hope I am proven wrong.
